A new build in Palmela, with the interior settled while the plan was still being drawn. Materials, joinery and lighting decided alongside the architecture.
We came in while the plan was still being drawn, which is the best moment for an interior project to start: ceiling heights, opening positions and light points can still be changed before anything is built.
Deciding with the architect, not after them
The joinery was designed at the same time as the walls that receive it, and the lighting was set before the services went into the ceiling. It is invisible work in the finished result, and it is what separates a house where everything lands from a house full of improvised junctions.
